A super simple guilt free pasta dish made with fresh avocados and some spare pasta. If you are anything like us then you love pasta and if you are looking to try and do a few meat free days then a creamy avocado pasta dish might be right up your alley.

How To Make Creamy Avocado Pasta

1Bring your favourite pasta cooking bowl to the boil with some filtered water.

2Grab your prefered spagetti variety and cook as per the instructions on the packet. For a super tasty alternative to normal pasta try this dish with zucchini strings.

3Grab your favourite food processor and add the organic garlic and basil and pulse until evenly mined.

4Next carefully add the lemon juice and the oil and the pitted and peeled avocado.

5Process this mix until smooth and Depending on consistency you may need to add a spoonful of water.

6When the mix is smooth add in your salt and pepper to taste.

7Grab your pasta and carefully drain over a colander.

8Stir some additional olive oil through the pasta to lightly coat to make sure the noodles do not stick.

9Grab your avocado sauce from the thermomix or other food processor and mix into the pasta.

10Stir until the pasta is evenly coated.

11Serve fresh for best results.

12Garnish with a grind of fresh organic pepper, basil and the zest of a fresh lemon.

In Australia avocados are pretty plentiful so it makes it easy to grab one from the shop and splice and dice it into you favourite dish. This dish was born from having a few handy avocados lying around and wanting to make the most of the delicious fruit. While avocado is great on toast sometimes you are looking for something a little more interesting to get the taste buds going.

If you can find some fresh basil then grab it as it seems to perfectly combine for a great taste with those ripe avocados. This dish is best served fresh as it does not keep well the next day.

1 cup Fresh Basil Leaves (Washed)

1 cup Fresh Lemon Juice

1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 pinch Himalayan Sea Salt

1 pinch Organic Black Pepper (Ground)

1 pinch Organic Lemon Zest (To Taste)
